I seem to remember something about that. Probably someone at the museum could fill you in on that. We swung through Ticonderoga and stopped at the main park in the middle of town. It doesn't seem that Dunn describes this set in his book which is strange，。

here's a grab shot I took the last time I was up there a week ago or so. It was a rainy day and we were driving around with nothing better to do， but we were chased away by the rain again. So， you don't even need to get out of your car. The one drawback to this set is that there's a hydro power plant right next to the falls so the scenic vista is marred a bit by that. Also， so you should have plenty of daylight for things to do after you get there. BTW - if you switch the Google map to satellite view you can get a feel for the layout of the place more. Also。

since it's right in the middle of town， you let them position that stuff right smack dab in the middle of the scene. it isn't like they were tight on space - they had all kinds of room back there behind the falls to have moved that stuff off to one side or the other. There is a covered bridge just downstream that you can use to get across the river. It's a great place to have lunch and relax. You can see the other waterfalls easily enough as well。

Though I never bothered to look around much to see what there was for dining. Probably someone at the place you're staying could recommend better than I can. The sun sets late nowadays。

The set I've been going to for a while are not the ones described in Russell Dunn's book. I've never been to those， and a good sized parking lot on Elk Street.
