nothing will change but the steam client can login without the credentials， as that’s where it’s storing all the config files. You can also save your control profile by itself from in the game， then you should lose nothing. When you link your account to steam， What you’re responding to is a comment about someone who had made a second account inadvertantly. If you’ve got the credentials to the account， and still have access to the email address it is registered to。
